    Overview

Company policies outline expectations, rights, and responsibilities for all employees. Whether you’re looking for the Code of Conduct, the Leave Policy, or IT Security Guidelines, it’s important to know where to find the most up-to-date versions. This article helps you navigate where policies live, how they’re organized, and what to do if something seems unclear or outdated.

    Where Policies Are Stored

All official internal policies are housed in the [Company Name] Policy Library, which is accessible via:

    • [BlueDocs] – Navigate to the “Policies” section in the left sidebar or use the global search bar.
    • HR Portal – Some HR-specific policies are also listed in the “Documents” or “Employee Resources” section.
    • Department Pages – Team-specific policies (e.g., Engineering, Sales) may be published in shared team folders or on custom landing pages.

If you’re not sure where to look, BlueDocs is the centralized, always-updated source.

What Types of Policies You’ll Find

    Common categories include:

    • HR & People Policies: Code of Conduct, Leave Policy, Remote Work Policy, Equal Opportunity
    • IT & Security: Acceptable Use Policy, Password Policy, VPN Access Rules, BYOD Guidelines
    • Operations: Travel & Expense Policy, Purchasing Guidelines, Office Access Rules
    • Compliance & Legal: Data Protection, Whistleblower Policy, Confidentiality, Disciplinary Procedures

Each policy includes a version number and last updated date. Always refer to the most recent version.

Tips for Finding What You Need

    • Use keywords like “leave,” “travel,” “remote,” or “security” in the search bar
    • Sort documents by category or department
    • If you’ve been sent a policy to review or acknowledge, it will also appear under your Assigned Documents tab in BlueDocs
    • Look for pinned or “Required Reading” tags for company-wide policies

    When to Ask for Help

    Contact the appropriate person if:

    • You’re unsure which policy applies to a situation
    • A policy appears to be missing or outdated
    • You need a PDF/downloadable version for offline reference
